The arrival of the Monte Carlo 37 represents a new engine range for Beneteau, clearly oriented towards sport and enjoying the sea. Its Italian designer, Pierangelo Andreani, a recognized talent in the design of "opens," has managed to give a magical touch and subtle beauty to all its shapes and carefully crafted interiors. The challenge was to incorporate a complete and comfortable bow cabin, a salon with all luxury amenities, and a perfectly equipped kitchen within 11.29 meters of length, in addition to a second cabin at the stern. Not only has he achieved this, but he has also managed to give that beautiful touch to all the details of the boat. The result is a beautiful boat with generously spacious volumes both inside and on deck. The Italian designer, along with the Beneteau design office, has successfully played with natural light through the numerous windows, creating a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Even at night, thanks to the arrangement of several LED points combined with other halogen lights. Brilliant! The correct choice of decorative materials achieves that pleasant feeling of "luxury is space," combining soft textures with stainless steel and glass. The standard equipment is equally surprising, such as the microwave oven, air conditioning, refrigerator, sound system, and LCD flat screen. The engineers at Beneteau have managed to make the most of every space inside by adopting innovative and intelligent solutions, such as the sliding door that hides under the deck or the well-designed pilot chair. Immediately behind the helm, accompanied by a second two-seater chair, we find a comfortable U-shaped sofa with a central table featuring very stylish curves. Next to it, there is an exterior kitchen unit with a refrigerator and sink, so nothing is lacking. The seating area on deck is huge and at two levels, with teak finishing throughout the floor, creating an even greater sense of space. At the stern, there is also a very spacious bathing platform lined with teak, with two molded steps on the deck that enhance this area of the boat. The stairs leading inside have been designed with beveled steps that create an expanded passage without "eating" space inside. As soon as you enter, the white-upholstered sofa and the living room table appear in front of the kitchen on the opposite side, with all the necessary equipment that any chef could ask for. To starboard, the access door to the stern cabin with double bunk beds, and at the bow, we discover a large and comfortable master cabin with a spacious central double bed. The boat in navigation The hull of the Monte Carlo 37 has been equipped with the patented Air-Step technology from the Beneteau group, which has already proven to be very effective in the Flyers (see article "Flyer 750"). With it, shorter planning times are achieved while reducing fuel consumption. Two 260 hp Volvo engines push the 6.4 tons of displacement to its maximum speed of 32 knots. Very stable and easy to handle even with a bit of chop, the new Monte Carlo 37 offers excellent maneuverability, allowing for tight maneuvers at high speeds. When forced to make a radical turn, no one would think it is a boat over 11 meters long. This is due to the air cushions that form under the hull thanks to the fresh air intakes of the new Air-Step system. A guaranteed success that in the next 3 years will be accompanied by several more models of Monte Carlos, surely as exciting as this 37 feet.
